RESEARCH SKILLS
What a player review can—and cannot—tell you.
Read personal accounts critically without dismissing useful evidence.
Look for specific events
Dates, the nature of an issue and a clear sequence are more informative than a broad label. A review is still the author’s account, not an established finding.
Separate the kinds of evidence
An editorial source check, a personal rating and a resolved dispute answer different questions. Combining them into one unexplained number can hide important differences.
Consider what is missing
A profile with no published reviews does not have a proven clean record. It may be new, unreviewed or simply not have attracted submissions here.
Understand our publication process
Reviews are submitted by signed-in users and held for moderation. Approval means the contribution passed an editorial publication check; it does not certify the underlying transaction. We do not generate player testimonials.
